decisions decisions
So next month we have the Harvest Moon Festival up here in Ely. i'm thinking about seeing if i can get in there if i can manage to get a display tent and a couple display racks. i figure its worth a try, after all tutu's and wings make great Halloween costumes right? so maybe people will be thinking along those lines when they see my booth and will stop in :)

big craft show and new toys!
So i did a craft show last weekend, it didn't exactly go very well for me but it was my first time out. I"m hoping to be able to do another one in September, i'll have to see if i can get in. BUT today i got an embroidery machine so i'll be able to offer lettering on my tag blankets as soon as i get in some embroidery thread!!
Its a really simple machine but absolutely perfect for what i need! i also got the desk in the picture yesterday and we moved the kid's toy box out of the room so its now all mine!!! now i have this desk for sewing and embroidering and i can use my other desk in the room for my airbrushing and using the glue gun. i'm so excited to have my own craft room. my darling hubby even put a new door on the room so that the kids can't get in there and mess with anything. don't want them getting poked with pins or breaking anything.

AMAZING RIBBON!
Let me tell you a little about one of my FAVORITE websites for ribbon and bow making supplies! Such AMAZING selection, best prices i've found and perfectly soft and yet strong ribbon! All can be found at www.hairbowcenter.com!
i was so excited about my ribbon order that i had to try it out.
I am far from an expert bow maker but i love making them for my daugher and i sometimes add bows as a decoration to my tutu's and i really find this ribbon to be the perfect combination of softness and strength ( i sound like a TP commercial lol) it is really soft but holds the shape you are aiming for very well. well i'm off to go play with my new ribbon, i have a friend coming over to craft tonight and i can't wait to show her my new ribbon!
I just recieved all this ribbon plus some display cards with shipping for around $30! All the rolls except for one are 5 yard rolls and the other one is a 10 yard roll! That is 60 yards of ribbon! I figured it out and even with including the shipping charges i averaged out to paying less than 50 cents per yard.i was so excited about my ribbon order that i had to try it out.

Newest project :)
i'm part of a great online forum for moms called CafeMom and i was selected to do some projects with Loctite products that they sent me along with a $25 walmart gift card. i finished one of my projects today and i am super proud of them. i used all three of the Loctite products they sent me for this project which were the spray adhesive, crafter's adhesive and super glue. well here is the finished product.

Pin Cushion
Made a really neat multifunctional pin cushion today. I made one for myself and one for my neighbor Sharee (BTW Sharee is you are reading this its at the store for you, i missed you when you were in today) its great because it can also hold other stuff in the jar on the bottom. i put buttons in mine but the possibilities are endless :)
